Product Details
ASME SA 537 Class 2 plates are quenched and tempered pressure vessel quality steel plates with higher strength and improved notch toughness compared to Class 1. These plates are designed for high-pressure service in moderate to low temperature environments and are commonly used in demanding sectors like oil & gas, chemical processing, petrochemical equipment, and power generation.
They meet the requirements of ASME SA537 / ASTM A537 Class 2 standards and are well-suited for welded pressure vessels and critical structural applications.
🔩 Key Features
Supplied in Quenched & Tempered (Q&T) condition
Higher tensile and yield strength than Class 1
Excellent toughness, durability, and impact resistance
Superior weldability and dimensional stability
Ideal for critical pressure vessel applications
